The SCA, Specialty Coffee Association, is an organization that sets recognized professional standards for individuals who wants to pursue a career in the coffee industry by completing several courses and series of exams. SCA certification is a prestigious award given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill in the field of specialty and customized coffee.
How do I customize my own coffee?
1. Type of coffee beans: Firstly, customers can choose from a variety of coffee beans such as Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, Excelsa and Maragogype. ( don’t’ worry our barista will explain you the difference!)
2. Roast Level: Roast level impact the taste of your coffee. Customers can choose Light, Medium or Dark roast according to their preference.
3. Grind Size: Depending on your preferred brewing method, the barista will adjust the grind size to produce the best flavor.
4. Brewing Method: Coffee can we brewed in a lot of different ways. Based on your preference, the barista will recommend or customize the brewing method such as drip coffee, pour-over, French press, or espresso.
5. Select your milk: Customers can choose from whole, 2% milk or non-fat milk, or non-dairy alternatives such as soy, coconut and oats or almond milk. According to your preference, barista will customize the amount of milk to be added to your coffee.
6. Try Sweeteners and flavors: Based on your preference or recommendation, add honey or sugar free sweeteners along with different flavors such as vanilla, caramel, hazelnut etc.
7. Coffee Temperature: Based on your preference, coffee served can be iced or hot. Let our barista know.
